Hello World consists of Eli and Oscar. Eli is all about chiptunes and lo-fi beats and on the other end Oscar is all about classical instruments and arrangements. Together they form an explosive musical experience that will challenge your idea of what music could actually be.
They have been on a journey together with Vestkust over a few years, creating a visual identity that exists in that undefined space between chiptunes and classical arrangements. We wanted to create a visual experience that allowed the listener to approach the music without a notion of what it would sound like. Hence staying away from classic chiptune themes that often uses pixels etc.
Instead we tried to visualize the theme of each album as strongly as possible using very few components. Helvetica, one illustration and two colours.
Hello World - S/T
The first album is a naive dawn of a new day. The sun rising to tell you to celebrate the beauty around us and in the world.
Hello World - II
The second album wants the listeners to pause. A reflective album pointing out how we need to stop to see what’s going on around us.
Hello World – 2182kHz
The third album issues a warning. 2182kHz is the radio distress frequency and the album is about the destruction mankind is causing to the planet.
